Franti\u0161ek Vincenc Kram\u00e1\u0159 (1759\u20131831) was born in the town of Kamenice near Jihlava, but his professional achievements are mainly associated with Vienna, where he succeeded his countryman Leopold Ko\u017eeluh as court composer and Kapellmeister of chamber music in 1818. Kram\u00e1\u0159\u2019s oeuvre includes more than three hundred compositions, dominated by works for various chamber ensembles, including brass ensembles. Besides his work as a composer, Ji\u0159\u00ed Dru\u017eeck\u00fd (1745\u20131819) also played the oboe and timpani. His first musical engagement was with the Imperial Austrian Army. After leaving the army in 1777, his life journey brought him from Linz via Vienna and Bratislava to Budapest, where he was Kapellmeister of a brass ensemble for Archduke Joseph Anton Johann of Austria. Compositions for brass instruments form the backbone of Dru\u017eeck\u00fd\u2019s oeuvre and in their time enjoyed great popularity throughout Europe.\n\n<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND CONDUCTOR:<\/span><\/h5>\n
Bassoonist, artistic director, and conductor Martin Petr\u00e1k has a wide range of experience in the interpretation of historical and modern music. He began performing chamber and solo music at age nine, and later developed his skills at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts. After graduation, he joined the Czech Philharmonic in 2005. Petr\u00e1k is active in several chamber ensembles with which he has performed at numerous Czech and foreign festivals, including L\u00edpa Musica, the St. Wenceslas Music Festival, and Ars Antiqua Europae in Via Gothica. He has contributed to a number of projects dedicated to the interpretation of baroque and classical music and has also recorded works by Georg Philipp Telemann and Franti\u0161ek Xaver Thuri.\n<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
