Both works included in the day\u2019s concert were written while Mozart was in the services of Salzburg\u2019s Archbishop Hieronymus von Colloredo, for whom he began working at age seventeen. Despite his youth, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756\u20131791) was already an experienced composer at the time. Over the previous years, he had visited practically all of Europe\u2019s most important courts in the company of his father, including Vienna, Paris, and London, and had composed more than twenty symphonies and seven operas. The violin concerto in B major was Mozart\u2019s first concerto for solo instrument. Over the subsequent four years, he composed another four violin concertos, all of which are still regularly played today. Although it is one of his early works, the Symphony in A Major clearly shows Mozart\u2019s exceptional compositional talent. It combines his practically limitless melodic inventiveness with an extraordinary sense for the use of all the colorful possibilities of the classical orchestra.\n\n<\/span><\/h5>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Violinist<\/span><\/h5>\n
A concert master of the Czech Philharmonic and of the PKF \u2013 Prague Philharmonia, Fi\u0161er also intensively focuses on solo and chamber performances. Together with pianist Ivo Kah\u00e1nek and cellist Tom\u00e1\u0161 Jamn\u00edk, he is one third of the Dvo\u0159\u00e1k Trio, one of the best Czech chamber ensembles, with successful appearances at a number of domestic and foreign music festivals. As a soloist, Jan Fi\u0161er has collaborated with leading Czech orchestras and has performed as guest concert master with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Bamberger Symphoniker \u2013 Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie, and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbr\u00fccken Kaiserslautern. As a mentor for the MenArt scholarship academy, he is also active as a teacher, and on top of that he regularly teaches music courses, among other places at the \u0160ev\u010d\u00edk Academy in Hora\u017e\u010fovice and the Tel\u010d Music Academy.\n\n<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Violinist<\/span><\/h5>\n
Jakub Sedl\u00e1\u010dek is a leading violinist of his generation and an in-demand chamber musician and soloist. He studied at the Prague Conservatory under professors Jaroslav Folt\u00fdn and Ivan \u017denat\u00fd, followed by the Pilsen Conservatory under professor Roman Fed\u010duk. In 2000, he received a scholarship to attend a master class at the Meadowmount School of Music in New York State. In 2007\u20132008, he taught and performed at Mahidol University\u2019s College of Music in Bangkok. In 2008\u20132011, he was concert master and soloist at the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra in Mari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 L\u00e1zn\u011b. In 2009, he successfully performed Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s violin concerto with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. During the 2011\u20132012 season, he was concert master with the Pilsen Philharmonic and he held the same position with Germany\u2019s Th\u00fcringer Symphoniker until March 2013. Since then, he has been concert master at the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra.\n\n<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
